Today is the day that our tech teams have been preparing for, oftentimes working around-the-clock. The results of their dedication (not to mention sheer brilliance) will be revealed today at Convergence 2009 - the premier event for Microsoft Dynamics.

At 3:30 this afternoon (CST), Neighborhood America’s CTO, David Bankston, will join Microsoft’s Amir Capriles to co-present ‘Gov 2.0 – Citizen Engagement and Social Networking in the Public Sector’. While attendees will learn how our solutions enable government agencies to meet the new requirements for transparency and collaboration, the game-changing take-away from this presentation will be this:

Social CRM is now a reality.

What will make this presentation truly unique is that the discussion will evolve beyond the possibilities of Social CRM to provide a hands-on demonstration of a complete integration between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Neighborhood America’s enterprise social network platform, ELAvate

The industry has been awaiting this announcement for months, if not years. I suspect that many have become tired, if not skeptical, of the promises being toted throughout the industry. Just last week, Paul Greenberg asked the question ‘CRM 2.0, Social CRM, Do We Have it Yet?’ On the same day, Forrester’s Jeremiah Owyang poked around the same issue, predicting that second generation Social CRM systems will make registration pages extinct.

Neighborhood America and Microsoft Public Sector recognized the possibilities quite some time ago, and have worked diligently together to make Social CRM a reality. As an audience of Microsoft partners, customers and team members gather at Convergence in New Orleans today, they’ll be among the first to see the complete integration in action. No more theory. No more screen shots. This will be extraordinary.
